Contest Rules

The basics

We're giving away five $100 Visa gift cards to people who complete our survey. Here are the rules (legally required, unfortunately can't make them shorter).

1. Who can enter

To enter, you must be:

• A resident of Canada (excluding Quebec—see why below)
• 18 years of age or older
• Not an employee of Money Confident or their immediate family

Why not Quebec? Quebec has special contest regulations that require filing paperwork and fees with the Régie des alcools. To keep this simple and free, we're starting with other provinces. Quebec friends—we see you, and we're sorry!

2. Contest period

Entry period: [START DATE] at 12:00 AM ET to [END DATE] at 11:59 PM ET

Draw date: [DRAW DATE] at [TIME] ET

(We'll update these dates once we launch. All times are Eastern Time.)

3. How to enter

1. Complete the survey at moneyconfident.ca
2. At the end, choose to enter the prize draw
3. Provide your nickname (shown publicly if you win), email, and full name
4. Agree to these official rules

One entry per person. If you try to enter multiple times with different emails, we'll catch it and disqualify those entries. Don't be that person.

No purchase necessary. You don't need to pay anything to enter or win.

4. The prizes

Five (5) prizes available:

• Each prize: One $100 Visa prepaid gift card
• Approximate retail value: $100 each ($500 total)

Prizes will be delivered electronically via email within 5 business days of winner confirmation.

Note: Visa gift cards may have activation fees or terms—those are set by Visa, not us.

5. How winners are selected

Minimum entries required: The draw will only take place if we receive at least 1,000 valid survey responses. If we don't hit 1,000 entries, no draw will be held and no prizes will be awarded. (We'll let everyone know if this happens.)

Winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the contest period. The draw will be conducted by Money Confident.

Your odds: Depends on how many people enter. If 1,000 people enter, your odds are 5 in 1,000. Simple math.

6. Winner notification

Winners will be notified by email within 2 business days of the draw date.

You must respond within 5 days to claim your prize. If you don't respond, we'll pick another winner. Check your spam folder!

Before receiving your prize, you may be required to:

• Confirm your identity and eligibility
• Sign a declaration confirming you meet all eligibility requirements
• Answer a skill-testing question (basic math—Canadian contest law requires this)

7. Winner announcement

Winners' public nicknames will be posted at moneyconfident.ca/contest-tracker after all prizes have been claimed.

By entering, you consent to your nickname being published publicly if you win. Your full name and email will never be shared publicly.

All decisions regarding this contest are final and binding. These rules are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

If there's a dispute about who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address at the time of entry.

11. Changes to rules

We reserve the right to modify these rules or cancel the contest if necessary due to circumstances beyond our control (fraud, technical failures, etc.). If we do, we'll post updates here and notify entrants if required by law.
